video Coding in Java with the Scanner class. OOP – reading in a text file into an array of objects.

Scenario: Renting a doggy pet for the weekend. Text file contains the dogs for rental with the fields separated by the delimiter.
The whole process is broken down into five short and easy steps. The PowerPoint Shows demonstrate the process in full. While the files are big, some of the PowerPoints only have two or three slides.
Step One:
The project, the package, the UI class and the manager class. Connecting to the text file, the try catch statement and the role of the class diagram. Creating the Dog class.
Step Two:
Reading in each of the fields into a token array using the String method “split”. Parseing the fields into their correct and final datatypes, Creating a single dog object
Step Three:
Moving the single dog object into an array of dog objects. Creating the displayAll method.
Step Four:
The role of the toString method in shaping the output of the displayAll method. Creating a getter method.
Step Five:
The role of the setter methods. Searching the array of dog objects for a particular dog which may or may not be found.
